(Willamette Heritage Center Photo 2011.027.0187) The person named Tuesday as the next superintendent of the Salem-Keizer School District will be the 17 th to hold the title. The district got its first superintendent in 1899. The Salem-Keizer School Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, to hire the successor to Christy Perry, who is retiring.
